It may be a day late, but I can still say that, right? For Halloween this year, I dressed as Alice – obviously! – from Breaking Dawn Part 1.
Thanks to a friend, I recently acquired a Blushing Avian blouse, and I was eager to show it off at our staff Halloween contest. I work for a film company, so our costume requirements were a) that we had to be a character from a movie, and b) it had to be tasteful. Which is why I couldn’t wear the costume I went partying in last weekend.
Number Six from Battlestar Galactica – sexy dress made by Anna, glowing eyes by the Cylon god
At any rate, the prize was a $25 Starbucks gift card, and I refused to even consider the idea of anyone else winning it. Why? Because everyone at work knows I’m a cosplayer. It’s a point of pride. So I had to bust out my A-game.
What does my A game look like, you ask?
My co-workers lost their minds. I felt pretty good about it, since I hadn’t been out in full Alice regalia since 2010, despite owning so many pieces of her clothing.
The end result:
Victory. Sweet, sweet, pumpkin spice latte-flavoured victory.
Show me your Halloween costumes… I’d love to see ’em, especially if they’re Twilight-related, but even if they’re not!
