Stephenie Meyer Day is only 23 days away!

So I realized that I may have forgotten to officially mention something. Something important. Something exciting. Something I’ve been wanting to do for three years and haven’t been able to because of work commitments.

I’m going to Stephenie Meyer Day, which is set for Sept. 12-15 in Forks, Washington – and not only that, I’ll be the event’s official Alice Cullen for the weekend!

If you’ve never heard of Stephenie Meyer Day, it’s a celebration of all things Twilight in Forks that coincides every year with Bella’s birthday. It’s essentially a Twilight convention, only better – because it takes place within the heart and soul of the series, allowing fans to really immerse themselves into the world of Twilight. If anything, it’s more like Disneyland for the Twilight-loving, vampire-worshiping set.

So what does being the official Alice Cullen of Stephenie Meyer Day, or SMD for short, entail? Well, part of what’s really cool about SMD is that fans are given the opportunity to really belong in the world of Twilight for a weekend, and who wouldn’t go to Forks half-hoping to meet a real vampire? That’s where the Olympic Coven, a group of Twilight look-alikes who visit SMD every year, come in. For the entirety of SMD, we live and breathe the Twilight characters we portray – through our clothing, hair, makeup, voices, and mannerisms – in order to really bring Twilight to life for fans.

And I’m so excited, I can’t even properly express it. If you’re thinking about coming to SMD, or just want to learn more about the event, feel free to visit our Facebook and website, which provide up-to-the-minute updates about the cast, our schedule of events, merchandise, and more. It’s going to be an amazing weekend.

Will I see you there?

xoxo,
Alice

  1. You are sooo lucky! Hope you have fun at SMD! You’ll be taking tons of pics right? If so, I look forward to seeing it! 😀 I saw the photos from last year’s SMD and it looked like everyone had tons of fun!

  2. I’m so excited for you! I bet you can’t wait! I can’t believe this is the first time you’ll actually be able to go as Alice, though. What will your friend Anna be doing? Have a fabulous time!
